Power windows in a Wrangler seem out of place...

Its because people take the doors off, probably...maybe.... I dunno

Take the doors off. Then you won't have any windows!

I just feel that it's odd that power windows are even offered on Wranglers.

As much as I love my topless doorless TJ, I do occasionally lust after 4 door hardtop JK's, what with their reasonable amounts of seating, storage, protection from the elememts, etc

If they HAVE to put power windows on a Wrangler, they should put the switch on the door. When you remove the door, you remove the switch!

Give the people what they want. Sadly its all the people who never take their Jeeps anywhere close to dirt.

If the doors are off then why do you need the switches to stay with the car?

THIS. And in 4 door Wranglers, how can people sitting in the back even control their own power windows?

There are switches on the back of the center console.

They also have power locks. Makes the doors heavy to remove and replace but worth it IMO. Creature comforts when you want, open air and elements when you don't.

JK Owner here. Word on the street is that the central placement is due to the fact that there aren't logical places to put the buttons on the doors, but either way it's entertaining watching unaware co-pilots lock and unlock their doors with what they would assume to be the window button on warm days.

That's actually pretty funny. I do agree with the fact that there is no logical place to put the switch... in my opinion, manual windows make a lot more sense on Wranglers.

If it were the fun car, absolutely. As the DD, and especially since it isn't solely occupied by automotive purists 24/7, modern comfort won out in this instance.

Do they even make any Jeeps with manual windows anymore?

At this point, I'd imagine it's simply not worth it to design in a "cheaper" manual system from a cost/design standpoint.
